I just added one of Ramona playing piano and replaced some of the band
pictures with some better ones I took last week.

How I wish I could! At the moment I cannot say for sure, but it is
doubtful. John wasn't well last year and he hasn't been doing too well
again recently. I have to stay flexible about going away from now on, it
seems. Also, as I grow older, I value more and more the time I can spend
with my family - even if we're all just hanging out in the same place but
doing our own things. Attending previous Jonifests, I felt a little strange
about going away from them to do my own thing and I guess that feeling has
grown even stronger. I find travelling to the USA too stressful if the trip
is less than four or five days. Ashara's fest actually works out nicely
travel-wise for me, but the bad thing is that labor day weekend coincides
with the birthdays of my girls (1 and 3 Sept.), and they really want me to
be home then. Last year I had planned to go to New Orleans instead of
Boston, but then John got sick. Going to the USA is a long trip each way,
too - at least ten hours if I have to change planes. Travelling to the USA
is not so hard, it's the return trip where I basically lose a whole day that
I really don't like. Anyway, I'm hoping that Karin in Germany is still
planning her fest at the beginning of June. I would like to go there, since
I could go there and return home without losing any annual leave and the
journey each way is only a couple of hours. It would be nice if some other
jimdlers could attend Karin's fest.
