I think you should give it a second chance! Occasionally the software goes
wrong, which results in people who appear to be there but never respond.
That aside, it's been great for me, and I'm in a timezone that's just as wierd as
you. Possibly more wierd: I have to stay up very late to catch even the
east coast crowd.
When the balance of people is right, it's a great place to be.
