that was a very enjoyable read Bob. although this person is very opinionated in places (Hello, LOTC is great. ande im NOT opinionated!!) at least (s)he's listened to the albums before making judgements, and (s)he seems to be a genuine fan. but, folks, i have some quesitons: 1) is BYT joni's only single?? i recall seeing singles for other songs on ebay. and if im not mistaken i read somewhere (possibly on this list) that Joni's biggest hit singles were in fact Freeman in Paris, Help me, and (im not sure if this is correct) the live Why do fools fall in love. 2)is Clouds a folk album? it did, afterall, win the 1969 grammy for "best flok album" didnt it? and something that *i* connect with folk albums is a lack of instruments. (but, i would be open to a proper explanation of what folk music entails.) Joni herself maintains that none of her albums are folk. 3)is LOTC more simple and rushed sounding than Clouds and STAS? i'm confused as to what he means rushed, but i certainly dont think it sounds more simple.
