The Folk Alliance website is at www.folk.org. The conference IS
truly wonderful, and the train sounds fantastic. There are some
kids there but not many...it is after all a business-related event,
though there is lots for "just" fans to see and do, if they're
willing to pay the conference fee...if you want to see 20 or 30
or 40 or 50 great acts in a few days, up close and personal, often
in their hotel rooms...and eat lunch with them, ride the elevators,
wait in the ATM line, etc., etc. it's the place to be. among the
people I've seen perform at FAs - and who I think have been
mentioned on the jmdl:
