Bob, I'm a newbie and not one to know lyrics. I went to the JM web site and
read Amelia. IMO, Amelia is Joni's love ego and/or the personality in her
who gets and gives all the love. Joni, or the narrator, is telling her that
the love they thought was near, was "a false alarm".? That is how my unusual
mind interpreted it? Does anyone else think this?

<<More questions, maybe I need to read history but in Amelia, what does Joni
mean by "it was just a false alarm"?>>
Jenny, a lot of us old-timers here have batted this one around pretty good. I would
challenge some of you newbies & recent de-lurkers to examine the lyrics and give us
your take. I for one would love to read it! :~)
