He used to play here regularly during the 80's at the beautiful Santa
Barbara Bowl (outdoor theatre kind of like LA's Greek Theatre). The
combination of the music, setting & summer night were quite intoxicating &
very much a collective spiritual experience...
Music sometimes can be like prayer. Bringing you closer to the source that
is joy, peace, love. Metheny (& Lyle Mays-sp?) did that for sure.
