what an amazing concert!!!!!!!! i was totally blown away. even though i have been a fan of hers since "steady on" (and even before that when she was singing harmonies with john gorka and david wilcox), i never got to see her in small intimate setting like the bottom line. we were relatively close to the stage, the bottom line is quite a small club! anyway, every song she played was great. i think she played every song off the new album, including the only two i had heard previously. "whole new you" is the name of the new single. anyway, it was just an amazing concert, with jon levanthal there playing with her (the guy who co-writes most of her songs). she ended with a rocking version of "diamond in the rough" which nearly sent me over the top. she will be touring soon, she'll be on jay leno next week, and the album comes out on the 27th. if you are a fan, go get it. it's the best stuff she's done in years! alison e. in nyc np: nanci griffith, there's a light beyond these woods Get email at your own domain with Yahoo!
