I used to smoke off & on but I don't anymore & am thankful because I agree that it is very very addicting. And yes the tobacco companies intend it to be so. I think Marianne's post has great merit because by allowing yourself to smoke but not inhale you might be weaning yourself physiologically from the addictive additives in the cigs. I don't think it is the tobacco per se that is so addictive. I believe that some brands such as American Spirits do not have these harmful additives. I know when I tried smoking a regular cig after Am Spirits, it gave me a headache & made me feel nauseous. I guess I am very lucky cuz my desire to smoke just wanned as I got older, partially I think because the after effects of feeling yukky eventually outweighed the short term feelings of pleasure. The last time I smoked, after taking a puff, I would hold the cigarrette far away from me cuz I didn't want the smoke all over me! ******************************************** Kate Bennett www.katebennett.com sponsored by Polysonics www.polysonics.com Discover the Indies at Taylor Guitars: http://www.taylorguitars.com/artists/awp/indies/bennett.html ********************************************
