In the Borders Crossing article, soon to be posted on the JMDL web site,
Joni doesn't say SP taught her guitar, but says he's the first person she
ever met who had written a song, and she found that "intriguing and exotic."
This was the first I ever heard of it. A search on Shawn Phillips on the
JMDL article site yielded nothing.
