I attended that concert in '79 at Tanglewood. I thought it was a fine show, but would be very interested to hear it again and see how it compares to the "finished" concert recording from that tour that became "Shadows and Light." Among our group that night was an arts reviewer from the local New York Capital District cultural/alternative tabloid, Metroland (Tanglewood is only about 20 miles from Albany, NY). On the way back to Albany, the reviewer said he didn't care for the show and was planning to say as much in print. I encouraged him to rethink his experience as to pan the show would: A. Reveal himself a fraud, given the talent present on stage that night and the strength of the material, and B. Force me to throw him from the moving vehicle. The review was a rave.
