That guy on the cover of Spirit Trail is Bruce's Uncle Charles Hornsby. I
think he's kinda cute and hillarious with a cigarette sticking out of his
ear and trying to light it with a lighter. Spirit Trail is a great
collection of songs on two CDs.
The latest release - Here Come The Noise Makers - is a fantastic set of
songs from live performances between 1998-2000; it would be a great
introduction to his music for anyone who doesn't know him. There are some
cuts that I can hardly sit still because the rhythms and melodic lines are
so amazing I just want to get up and dance! The one I'm listening to now is
one of them, with a gorgeous horn duet.
