I've always really loved Yes. I remember teaching all the vocal parts to "We
Have Heaven" to the acoustic "folk group" I was in in high school. I
wouldn't let them hear the real thing. Well, we never actually got it
together, which bummed me out no end. When I finally played the 'original'
for them, everyone looked at me like I was nuts and slowly backed away.
Hmmm... don't suppose anybody'd be up for doing it at JoniFest???
And I learned a somewhat simplified version of "Mood for a Day." While my
sister was off having a grand old time in New York City on the class trip, I
stayed in my room wearing down my fingers and my recording of the song.
And I had to smile last night. I went to see Les Miserables. One of the
songs is titled "Dog Eats Dog."
