Iwwww! I did see one of mine nosing around the litter
bag the other day. I'm afraid to look!
I think I figured out what happened though. I think
the basement door WAS shut. My husband is very hard
of hearing and is supposed to wear a hearing aid, but
he just won't. As a result, he turns the TV up full
blast and we have to keep asking him to turn it down.
The TV's in the basement. Last night, I noticed that
my son got out of bed and had shut the basement door.
I have a feeling that's probably what happened the
other night too except that after kitty shat on the
floor, someone opened the basement door again. It was
probably my husband who *just didn't notice* cat crap
in the middle of the hall - you would practically HAVE
to step in it just to get by, but well, men, you know.
Anyhow it hasn't happened since and I'm keeping my
fingers crossed that it doesn't again.
