I would ask that further responses to this thread not include this sort,
which contributes nothing to the discussion, and is nothing that we
haven't heard a million times before and still completely misses the
point.
I'll mention though, that Joni employs melody more than just about anyone,
but Bob's songs are at least as melodic as your average blues or Chuck
Berry song is, some of them much more so. (Don't Think Twice, anything
from John Wesley Harding and Nashville Skyline, Simple Twist of Fate,
Jokerman are the first that come to mind.)
