LOL!! She might have been. Laura did grow up in a show biz family.
Although, I'd bet if we searched the Tom Waits Covers archives, we'd
find her rendition of 'Step Right Up' - " Everyone's a winner, step
right up......Bargains, Bargains Galore....Only a Dollar....It filets,
chops and dices....Lasts a lifetime.....It mows your lawn...Picks up the
