He has been away from the music business for some time now - I think he went
software. A couple of years ago he was involved in a compugraphic project
that also included Jan Hammer and some other people and it didn't quite
measure up to his work in the 80s, which ended satifactory with more
production work for Prefab Sprout as well as good stints with Ryuichi
Sakamoto and George Clinton/Parliament/Funkadelic (he can be seen in a
classic Saturday Night Live episode doing "Do Fries Go With That Shake?").
Rumours of a comeback persist.
