Actually, Don, every once in a while I do a search on "Joni Mitchell"
looking for whatever comes up to post to the JMDL.
It just so happened that this Joni tidbit came from the Enquirer.
In years past, at confirmation camp, a group of us would buy an
Enquirer, Star, whatever, and do dramatic readings of the stories. I
kind of miss the fun we had with them.
Back in 1995, I think, whatever year it was that Ripken set the record
for consecutive games played, Ripken said that who really should be
honored is people who never miss work in the real world. So People
magazine did some research and the record for consecutive days without a
miss was like 59 years, held by my Uncle Herb. (Private family joke was
that anyone who knows Aunt Marge, and I love her, would know her husband
would never miss a day of work...) Anyway of course I had to buy many
People magazines and that was an issue with OJ's children on the cover.
Everyone was staring at me as I went through the checkout with my stack
of People magazines!
And before you ask, Uncle Herb still hasn't missed a day of work; he's
in his 80s and still takes the train into Clark and Barlow Hardware
Store every work day.
And if I get stuck in a slow lane at the supermarket, I feel it is my
right to read Soap Opera Digest for the All My Children updates; been
faithfully following AMC almost since it fist went on the air.
Now my trashy literature tastes have been confessed so:
My question to you, Don: why are you so knowing abut Suzanne Sommer;s
diet?
(the Rev) Vince, pondering whether Roger will find a way to interfere
with Greenlee's happiness with Leo (and I suspect that Roger is not
Greenlee's real father...)
