My nephew was showing off his new DVD player to me the other night and I
noticed that one of the DVD discs he had was High Fidelity with John Cusack
starring a used record store owner.
In one scene a couple of skaters attempt to steal some vinyl and CD's from
the store but are cornered by Cusack who, after seeing what they stole, says
"So, what, are you slammin' to Joni Mitchell now?" (I think)
I had never been able to make out what album they stole before but through
the magic of DVD technology I was able to discover that it was a copy of
Ladies Of The Canyon. The back cover is clearly visible when the kid pulls
it out of his jacket (if you watch it in stop-frame close-up mode on a DVD
player that is.)
