The same thing happens all over B.C.  The Gulf Islands- a continuation of
the U.S. San Juan Islands- are filled with American owned weekend homes.
As well, areas of Vancouver Island and the Interior of B.C.
There was an interesting article in the Globe and Mail this past week,
about this very thing!  How Americans are snapping up property and homes
right across the country, and driving up the price of real estate as a
result of supply and demand.  Can't say I blame them, as the U.S. $ is
worth $1.60 Canadian!!
