I made the mistake of signing up for a subscription
for Flare magazine, which is Canada's magazine for
30-somethings or thereabouts.  It was a moment of
temporary insanity, where I succumbed to an offer to
get a WHOLE BUNCH of magazine subscriptions for ONE
LOW LOW PRICE.  This one was paid for ages ago and the
subscription doesn't expire until the year 2003 at
which point, I will be WELL BEYOND its targeted
demographic, but will continue to receive monthly
reminders that my thighs are too large, and that I
should be spending thousands of dollars on dresses and
shoes and so on, as well as the nauseating perfume
samples they insist on putting in these things.

What was my point?  Oh yeah...

There's a one page articlet (too tiny to be a full
article) called "Planet Flare - Canada's Sexpots in
History."

Under the 60's/70's era, is this short blurb, along
with a photo of Joni in the wheatfield/bangs era:

"Joni Mitchell:  She's brash, brilliant, smokes like a
trooper and is rumoured to be the inspiration behind
at least one Led Zeppelin song."

There you have it.  Joni in a nutshell.  In case you
