<< Why does Joni always do this oldie? I'd be interested in hearing her do
some others that were her favorites when she was growing up. >>
Firstly Rev, thanks for the great comments on your Joni DVD. I too think Joni
looks very sexy and gorgeous in this film. Just watching her play and enjoy
herself with Pat, Don, Jaco, & Michael is a real treat!
I'm not sure I understood your question about "Fools"...she did it on this
tour ONLY, and it was a great addition, as lyrically it did such a great job
of summing up herself..."Why Do Fools Fall In Love"...anyway, when she toured
again in '83, she did "Heard It Through the Grapevine", another oldie she
liked, and in '98 she added "Comes Love", another REAL oldie from Billie, one
of her influences.
Obviously, she may have varied her shows a bit on the S&L tour, but she is
generally not the type to REALLY mix things up night to night, she'll vary
her set SOME but pretty much stick to what she's rehearsed with her band. She
prides herself on being professional that way...
Although I WAS overjoyed to hear BSN in Atlanta, which she said she had just
worked out with Greg Liesz - he played guitar for her while she sang...
