Hell comes to America? Does this have anything to do with our new federal budget? :) Thank G*d that Congress and our new President are protecting us against the unthinkable- the *possibility* of a surplus in the distant future. Never mind that we haven't conquered the ever-present and enormous *deficit*. Never mind that the economy is in the dumper- rendering all of the rosy predictions (er... I mean the projections of a dangerous, surplus-producing prosperity) are completely and utterly obsolete. At last we are delivered from the possibility of a stable middle class. At last the upper class is free to widen the gulf between the haves and the have-nots in the land founded on equality. Thank G*d Thomas Jefferson is not around to see this shameless lunge. I am woefully disappointed and disgusted. An uncommitted moderate, and professional cynic, James A.
