Ever wonder how a
singer conveys yearning? This is it.
I love k.d.lang and think that Drag is one of her best
albums. People seemed to have a mixed reaction to it,
but I think it's stunning. k.d. lang has one of those
voices that sends chills up my spine every time. What
an incredible talent.
I's been a few years sincs I've been in Toronto,
unfortunately! I love that city. I used to stay at the
Sheraton Centre, which is usually an expesive place. I
was a member of AAA when I lived in Michigan, and they
had really cheap train/hotel packages. I could drive
to Windsor and take the train to Toronto round trip
and have three nights in the Shereton Centre all for
about 200.00/person.
Last time I was in Toronto was in '98 for a confrence.
I stayed at a really cheap-n-nasty hotel. One of those
places you spend as little time in as possible. It was
very affordable, however. The name escapes me now, but
it was right across the street from the Royal York
Hotel, kittycorner to the train station. Maybe a local
Torontoan could find out the name?
