My "research" consisted merely of typing the word 'stranger' into Les' lyric
search engine, so I'll give him a chunk of the credit. I was surprised at the
number of songs that popped up, did a cut and paste of a significant chunk of
the lyric, then pondered and started writing...not too tricky, I would
encourage others to use the lyric engine, see what pops up and go from there!
By the way, your post was also excellent, and after digesting it a bit I'll
burp something back...discussing Joni's music with others who "get it", as
you say, is what enticed me here way back when.
