Greetings, Listers! Just have to put my two cents in. The midwest gathering in Milwaukee was a treat! Kerry and Ross were delightful hosts for an after-gathering gathering, making Mary and myself at home in their beautiful home. Dinner was a hoot at a most unusual restaurant, replete with a feisty waitress, a crusty restaurant owner, and a parade of docking boats. Steve's renditions of Joni music were awsome! What a great voice! Mary rounded out our "core" group, and we laughed all the way through our background, ur, ummm, "crooning." Yeah, okay. *My* voice is better suited to the privacy of the shower.;-) I think these gatherings are well worth the effort to attend. What a wonderful opportunity to meet with each other in a more intimate setting than the list! Conversations are lively and stimulating. It's also great fun to be welcomed to sing along with the performer. Every lister I've been lucky enough to meet has enriched my life with their outlooks and wisdom. Not to mention, you're all such a fine-looking bunch of humans! (LOL) I believe that Joni isn't the common thread that links each of us. Rather, she's the beginning thread.
