Hello, this is a request from someone who's never posted on this list
before, but who has been trying to keep up with the many digests that come
across my inbox. I've really enjoyed many excellent discussions and
analyses of Joni's work - so thanks to those who wrote them!
Anyway, the request is regarding one digest that I have deleted and that
contained a message, probably sent about a week ago, that I really meant to
keep. I copied it and thought I had pasted it somewhere else, but it looks
lost, so could the unknown sender please re-send this to me?
It was a list of Joni's albums, followed by a word, which the writer thought
would be the opinion people would have of a certain album of Joni's (WTRF or
DJRD, I think) if they liked that album on the list. Well, you'll know what
I mean if you wrote or saw the message! Thanks in advance for helping me
out!

PS I've always liked Joni's songs when I happened to hear them on the radio,
I even had an odd (Dutch) collection album of some of her earlier songs, but
it's only recently that I finally got to listening to some of her later,
jazzy albums and wow! - I just don't know how I could have lived without
them for so long! Especially Hejira, Blue, Hissing, etc... are magnificent,
and I also think TI is really strong. Anyway, I thought I'd just share with
you that my partner believes that, way back in the late 70s, when he was
somewhere in Greece in a youth hostel, he met this N American lady who was
obviously a bit special as she had some male "minders" with her. They
talked and when he went to sleep in the dorm, he woke up finding this woman
gently kissing him on the cheek and then disappearing. He's convinced it
was Joni!
