Welcome to the wonderful world of acronym phobia.
Even though I've seen these used for a while - and
even though I've sometimes used them myself (for
shame, for shame!), I still stop every time I see one
and say "Heh???" or I try to pronounce them as words,
or whatever which works well for LOL, not so well for
FWIW (a sigh?) and BTW (Butwa?)
I'd rather write Haha than LOL. And I don't mind
these things,
;) :) :(
but I keep getting a crick in my neck from turning my
head sideways to see them...
