Yep, Essence is a wonderful collection...Car Wheels was one of the best records of the 
90's, thus a hard act to follow. Rather than try to make "Car Wheels Volume 2" she 
offers a quieter, Emmylou-ish set. It had to grow on me, but now it's left its mark on 
me, it's permanent...a tatoo! ;~)

Coincidentally, one of the best songs on the record is "Blue"...not a Joni cover.
