I stand corrected, and apologise for my wee gaffe (sorry, John)!  Actually
I'm kind of glad he's not a Kiwi.....just kidding!  I did always think of
him as being based here though - I know he did tour here a lot, so that may
be where the confusion arose.  And I wasn't that old at the time!

And Bob, I think you're right in describing him as more like Robert Goulet
than Perry Como.  I also seem to have memories of him in a burgundy velvet
suit, with a cravat.  Very lounge-ish, if you know what I mean.  Suffice it
to say, I don't have any Kamahl albums in my collection, and unless I find
another Joni cover, I never will!

P.S.  John - condolences on Australia's loss to the Lions - they are a
pretty good side, mind you, they've always put together strong teams.  And
thank God the All Blacks managed to beat France - yet another small slice of
retribution for the 1999 World Cup debacle!
