have created one of the most profound statements I've ever read (above). We
all feel the same!
I'm also a Joni fan, and love the Smashing Pumpkins too. Hard to touch Melon
Collie, Gish, Siamese Dream, & Adore was one one the prettiest records of the
90's!
As for Joni's pop records, I too would cast a vote for Court & Spark, as well
as Wild Things Run Fast & Night Ride Home. Interestingly enough, these 3
collections come from three different decades but are all extremely
accessible melodically & of course Joni's "words" are always on display,
though these will not offer the depth of Hejira in terms of lyrics.
Please continue to share your thoughts with us as you discover Joni's
wonderful music. It may turn out that the Pumpkin's breakup will be the best
thing that ever happened to you!
