He was 63. As some of you may know, he has always been very reclusive- avoiding the limelight, shunning the industry for years, and little or no contact w/people he knew from his recording days. For most, it was a mystery as to where he was living. Most of the past 15 yrs of his life were devoted to The Dolphin Project in Florida, of which he was a founding member. Plans are for his body to be cremated and at a later date his ashes spread amongst the dolphins in the sea. According to his son Chris, as in life, his death and ceremony will be a very private affair, but there will no doubt be a tribute/memorial concert in the near future. I for one am saddened by his passing. What a most incredible barritone voice he had, and a mean 12-string picker! Best, Stephen in Vancouver
