Next after that, I would suggest the following 2fers, recently out in
HDCD: Today/Summer Days (the pair of 1965 albums right before Pet Sounds),
Smiley Smile/Wild Honey (1967 pair) and Friends/2020 (1968-69)
This material rivals what the Beatles and Joni were doing during those
years. In some ways it's both more complex and deceptively simpler. I
know that last sentence doesn't make sense, but if you hear them you'll
know what I mean.
