I just heard on the news that Mimi Farina has died after a long battle with cancer.
Mimi, Joan Baez's sister and a musician in her own right, is well-known and admired
greatly here in Northern California for founding "Bread and Roses", an organization
which provides live music performances to the elderly and incarcerated. Joni has
performed in benefit concerts for the cause in the past, as many here on the list are
well aware. Rest in Peace, Mimi. You will be dearly missed.
