NJC - Racism, Letterman, DiFranco

Ani DiFranco was scheduled to appear on "Late Night with David Letterman" 
tonight. She had planned to perform "Subdivision," a song about rascism that 
begins, "White people are so scared of black people, they bulldoze out to the 
country." Producers at "Late Night" tried to convince her to sing a more 
"up-beat" song. When she refused, her segment was cancelled.
