Joan Baez sang a song called "Joe Hill" long ago which touched me to
the roots. It was a song about the Union and the awful things which
made it necessary in the 20's to start it.

Interesingly, I heard the (mainly operatic) singer Willard White sing
'Joe Hill' in tribute concert to Paul Robeson. The whole experince
was very moving and highly charged politically. You could have heard
a pin drop.
