Hi everyone.
I've been putting off sending this email until I knew more. Well, I don't
know much more, but here goes. It looks like I'm probably (90% probability)
having a recurrence of the cancer. My tumor marker number has been going up
slowly for the past 6 months. It's been outside the normal range the last 3
times. So, even though they can't see it yet, it's probably there. The week
after next I'll have a different type of scan (PET scan) to see what they
see with that. To be honest, it would take a major miracle for this to be
something else.
At any rate, you've all been so supportive of me, I thought you should know.
And I'm not sure what's going to happen in the next few weeks, whether I'll
have surgery (likely) and when. So, I'm still hoping it works out that I'm
able to go to JoniFest. I'll keep my fingers crossed...
