Ted..I like the kind of humor that I could take me wee little grandmother
to. ;-) No ..I'm not a prude..but most great comics will tell you that for
something to be funny it has to have a element of truth. The OVA thing
started out funny..sort of.. because isn't there a self-help group for every
thing under the sun? I don't know if you were specifically referring to the
list when you wrote: "remember laughter people?" This list laughs all the
time...maybe you were writing about the general public? IF you haven't
noticed there are several people here that could possibly make their living
doing comedy..writing it for others..standup? All this in my IMHO. I think
of Joni with her great funny stories..off the top of my head..when she told
about the lady who knocked on her cabin door while she was knitting. Why
was this funny? Because again... the element of truth. (and Joni has a
flair for storytelling....must not forget that)
Take care..
Bree
PS. Kenny B.. did you catch Tod on Letterman?
I guess some people don't recognize comedy even
when it smacks them across the chops, grabs them by the feet, flips them
upside down, shakes all the fillings out of their heads, and takes their
American Express card on a shopping spree ... remember laughter people?
Does anyone remember laughter? Ted "tears of a clown" Friedman
