Trinity Rep in Providence, Rhode Island, is one of the US's most respected regional theaters. The resident director (or whatever the head creative guy is called in a theater) is Oscar Eustis, who worked with Tiny Kirshner to create "Angels in America." When I lived in Providence I saw "Angels" and other plays there, and Trinity really is top notch. So I was very pleased today to read the following:
"Celebrating its 40th anniversary season, the Providence-based troupe will introduce a new musical revue, Songs of Innocence, Songs of Experience, featuring the work of Stephen Sondheim, Joni Mitchell, Gershwin, John Prine and others. Amanda Dehnert handles direction and musical direction for the project.
