My Mum used to used the expression "BS!" fairly often. When I asked her what it meant, she told me "Brown Sugar." When I was 9 or 10, I found out from one of my friends what it really meant and of course, I had to go home and tell my Mum, "Ha! I know what BS means!". She thought I was very "bold", but laughed anyway. I noticed several years later, that when my Mum wrote out recipes she always used the short forms "WS" and "BS" for white sugar and brown sugar, so reading one of her recipes was always good for a few adolescent laughs. ===== Catherine Toronto ______________________________________________________________________ Post your free ad now! http://personals.yahoo.ca
