Hi Jason, Thanks for the hint. That page wasn't migrated when the website was re-designed, so this thread is a bit outdated. There should certainly be a new version of the contribution guidelines. I have registered #2895 as a reminder for this: https://github.com/jOOQ/jOOQ/issues/2895
Generally, we don't have too many rules with respect to contributions, except that we now require you to sign a CLA if you contribute code or documentation or any other material that is subject to copyright.
