Dear Commandos,
About a year ago, we, the Port Harcourt Commandos were all set for our great reunion/end of year party.
Everything was set, venue paid for, arrangements in top gear to contact those to be awarded prizes for their contribution to making Command Jos what it was/is.
Among them were Mrs Akamgbo and Officer Lelei rtd. (Sorry I don't know his rank). Christopher Lelei's dad. Just as the day drew close, we somehow lost it and till today it did not hold.
One year on, we are back.
Determined to make it work this time around, we held a meeting on the Independence day, 1st October to deliberate on where we went wrong and how to correct the mistakes of the past.
The highlight of the meeting was the @election@ of an executive council to pilot the affairs of the association and give her a new direction. The members of the new exco include:
President: George Igboanugo 81
Vice President: Mike Agana 82
General Secretary: Babatope Ojo 88
Assistant General Secretary: Gabriel Bigwan 85
Financial Secretary: Anne Anyaka 85
Publicity Secretary: Tajudeen Yahaya 88
Welfare Secretary: Grace Odon 89
The new exco have been mandated to put a constitution together for the association.
We are looking at having our end of year party, hoping to make it happen in a big way this time around.
The first executive council meeting holds on 22nd October.
I want to use this medium to reach out to all PHC commandos out there who are yet to join us to do so every first saturday of the month. Our next meeting comes up on 5th November at Opus Plaza Afam Street, D- Line. (Ground floor.).
Vital issues will be discussed and our new exco will be sworn in.

May I also use this medium to appeal to all PHCCommandos to forward their names, addresses (both home and office), phone numbers and e mail addresses to me. I am building up a data base for us for easy access.
