Well, Well, Well, here we go again. Though guilty of not attending meetings I
will try my possible best to attend this year all I need is to get the
information early enough so I can make out time for it. I believe the
suggestion by Kadiri Ibrahim concerning providing the following info by the
various chapter heads will help refresh our memory.

  1. Venue of the meeting
  2. Period of the month the meeting is held according to the various chapters
  3. Time
  4. Contact information of the various chapter heads or organisers.

Lets not give up. Topsy I believe we need to call the class of 88 based in PH
personally to get them committed to this venture. I am already looking forward
to the re-union. Let me know in what way I can assist you in this venture.

  Regards.

You have done extremely well by bringing up this issue. Let me warn
you however, that all you may get are Internet responses and no action to back
them up. This brings to mind the "101 Questions" and "Where are the Real
Commandos" by senior Adam John sometime ago. After all that John highlighted
what happened? Those of us in Port Harcourt decided to break the jinx. We met
regularly at first, though attendance was not that encouraging. We did try to
rekindle the unity and the Commando spirit, but somehow we lost it along the
way. I was encouraged by the Lagos crew but they too fell by the way. Is
something fundamentally wrong with us? Could it be that we are not matured
enough to organize ourselves? I can not understand what is going on anymore.
Some members of the Class of 88 to which i belong are trying to organize a
reunion this year, tagged "Class of 88: 20 Years after" but response have been
so discouraging! I got a few e mails to say carry on but no action.
This issue came up first in 2003 when i first mooted the idea. It received
great applause but died after a few months. Still, one tree does not make a
forest.
I remember vividly just before the 2007 general elections when i wrote a
piece titles 2007 and the Nigerian Youths and no one, not a single person had
anything to say or add.
I don't want to believe that we are not up to it. When it is time to ask
about people's contact, someone is always out there to provide information but
when it is time for more serious issues such as giving back to the school that
made us, we go mute.
I remember sending a mail to Adam john asking him not to be discouraged about
the challenges he was facing with the ABJ chapter, but today i have not been
able to encourage myself on the failings of my dear PHC chapter.
Granted that we do not have time at our disposal. Who does anyway? What we
need is a little commitment and we will get there. Let all who are still
passionate about our school come out and kick-start these chapters again and i
am sure the lukewarm ones will join when they see the progress we are making.
It is not all about money. It is about love one for another and our dear
school.
Please let us rise to the occasion and get things rolling again.
  Thank you for your time.

Before i start on this topic,i must firstly send a very big appology
to Excommandoes in lagos for not attending the Monthly meeting that
has been going on or (IS IT STILL EXISTING.... ......this is a big
question
Amongst all the topics that has been trashed out lately, nothing has
been said about the Various excommandoes meeting in the whole of
naija.Ever since some of us left lagos, the meeting attendance has
dropped badly.
Is it that we are too busy not to have time for ourselves at the end
of the month or we dont have a formal arrangement for awareness of
its existance
Those days,it was a very nice forum where you get to see people of
yester years....... men and women that we have heard and admired....
I remember seeing Kingsley Ndem 88 set in one of the meetings and was
over joyed because i admired him as a junior boy........

Lots of Schools out there have a final say/arrangement plans in this
meetings after trashing it out on the internet, like we have been doing

The question is?
What is wrong?
why are we not united?
why do we have to beg each other to come for the meeting?

A quick question?
How many of us have the Excommandoe Sticker on our Cars........ ..

Please lets throw this topic open
What are the addresses of all the meeting places for all commandoes?
what period in the month are the meetings held and what time?
who are the people in charge?contact number?

Upcoming meetings should be online for everybody to know the details
(above)

Best regards
