It took me some time to actually write this mail about Vicky Ikya, because my heart has been heavy since I read the mail about Vicky's call to glory. For those of you who do not know, Vicky and I were in the same class in primary school(Command Childrens School Arms Barracks, Yaba). I guess leaving a place like Lagos for a place like Command Jos was a lot easier for me because I at least had one familiar face-VICKY to look out for whenever i felt homesick. For those of you who have the opportunity of seeing old friends, PLS!!! do so. You never know what might happen. This actually relates to me, because I became very close to Vickys brother-Simon Ikya and kept asking after Vicky and promising to see her, even though she was less than a kilometre from where I lived then. (Her Family house at Maitama in Abuja then).Vicky, my heart bears the pains of a friend who couldnt be a friend indeed.Adieu VICKY, till we meet to part no more.Frank Ode (86 set - Tiger House)[IMAGE]
