Oh yeah. I had this thick fury jacket. One cold prep evening I covered myself
up and had a good dozing in class. Remember Enejo?? He walked past and said I
was all covered up like an eskimo and that was it! Strange how these names come
up..
Taiwo Akinosho <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:

Was my Eskimo story correct anyway.
I think Daniel just added a new dimension. The history behind the
name seems to carry a lot of weight too.

I have just been laughing here reliving those command memories. Taiwo, I tell
you the eskimo nickname was a good one compared to what I would have had. The
Emerald boys knew my first slip and they tormented me with it.
I had just got into command (SS1...I did not experience the "real" command
JS1-3 like you folks). This "unlucky" day was my turn to share the breakfast.
It was my turn to wield power but did not have the ruthlessness. After sharing,
I asked what I thought was a decent question, to have the table agree with what
I did with the "excess loafs". So I asked honestly, "as a sharer are my
entitled to excess loafs?". There was this awkard deafening silence. Everyone
was mute! I felt something was wrong but nobody passed a comment....I stepped
into class, sat down, the next thing, the statement I made was replayed back to
me in class. There was this huge laughter. My tag from then on was "excess
loafs" you can imagine the relief when eskimo came along. Infact, I welcomed
that nickname or else it would have been a different story...

Hello folks,
Since Taiwo started this nickanmes stuff, l'll make my humble contributions.
The ones that still gets me cracked up are:
1] 'Raymond Muncher' - l wonder where this 'senior' is now
2] 'Owo kan' (meaning 'one hand' and it had to do with someone who seemed to
always want 'owo kan' from anything 'munchable' - I hope l don't get shot by
someone for this one o!!!!!!!).
3] Shyden - from form 1 vacation morning 'action' when everyone was striking
for 'loaf', this our guy was content to attack the area of least resistance -
SHAI!!!! (hmn, l dey throw stone here o, 92 guys, do you know who l'm talking
about)
I rest my case for now.....

Hey guys,
Nice to see some fair exchange today.
I think we all should give Tunde & Daniel a round of a plus for the
entertainment we got last week.
It broke the monotony of all the other mails. I am sure we all enjoyed it and
were looking forward to more.
I think senior Gabriel just used mature sense kill am today
But seriously, i found it quite entertaining. Trust me, i think it was quite
constructive
and I was beginning to enjoy the exchange. i think it was converging to a
constructive
point.
Tunde obviously did not mean harm. and i actually think Daniels comment was not
spurred by
Tunde but by Gabriel. Whatever the case I guess we are all cool now.
Think about it. Which conversation would you remember most? i think it is these
so called
non-constructive ones that seems to trigger a response.
Guys, keep em coming.
Did i also tell you guys. Daniel's nickname in school was Eskimo. Well amongst
his set. Ooops.
I am not sure weather he bought a jacket from Alaska or he had one that looked
like it was made
for Eskimos. Daniel can clarify.
Now you all know something about Daniel. He is also from the 92 set just like
me and he also
keeps to himself unless the need arises. Tunde, you really brought him out in
the forum. thanks a bunch.
Eskimo, abeg call me now. (08072016042)
So, whose nick name is next on the list?
Have a nice day.
Tiwiex (92 set)
yup that was mine. to be explained later this week.

Hey Bro,

is that no matter how long you have ben away you mis the school.I dont have the
guts to tell anyone when i last went there u guys would all be disappionted. I
am going to attend a cousin's function in Jos sometime this month so am gonna
go see the old school.I will however take a trip there when the school opens
and go to my house and bed corner,if possible eat with the kids and see what
they have for food.
I really would like to know what's up with two Teachers who helped a Rascal
like me shape my life.

Hey guys!
Through this medium, I have come to be reconnected in some way with you guys!
Although I do not now remember or have even met those of you in the latter
sets, what I say is who cares! For me it's the command spirit and the
opportunity to tap from the noble products of our great institution! Opinions
on issues will naturally vary but you would find some quite informative and
challenging. The goal is; take advantage of all!
I'm proud of you guys! Just keep the mails flowing, let the feeling out! You
just might be making some one's day!
By the way Kester, you've been gone from Command for 24 whole years now?!
Abi...Well Messers Omenuko and Uwakwe would long have left and in retirement
now ko! I think someone with link to their "forwarding address" back in Jos
will be in a position to help, suggest you spread the search radius further
and hope we all get to share in your findings too! How are you doing?
My best wishes to all!
Gabriel.

I was speaking for myself and not holding brief for anyone. Why suggest I junk
your mails from the list? My mail was to highlight how effective you can make
your good intentions. I am not questioning your intentions.. .. your response
reels of your passion to contribute positively to the group. That is
commendable and well appreciated however this can be made more effective.
Sending a large number of forwarded emails daily....., I tell you most people
will delete them. It defeats the purpose. What I am simply saying is the
approach can be improved and not suggest I junk your mails. That defeats the
purpose of the list. I did not mean to put you off from your very good
intentions.
Cheers,
Daniel.
TUNDE OKIKIOLU <tunde_okikiolu@ yahoo.com> wrote: Hi John,
To be honest with you i had made up my mind to channel whatever i have to
give to this noble group to somewhere else where my opinion and contribution
would be of importance.
I owe this group a lot of contribution- money, time and values in my life
time, this is where i belong and whatever i am today God has used these great
institution to bless me, family and friends and i say to challenge anyone here
that nobody can pay for my valued time spent on this house.
Read through the previous mails from individuals, what you see is somebody is
getting married, somebody is dead and you begin to see constructive words to
best describe the person, is that all to it in this group.!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !.
I am going to mention names here beacause nobody should rout my noble course
, Gabriel Bigwan, i guess you did not read my mail carefully before passing
your comments which seems to me a Pastor reeling out his scripts, if you are,
this is the best place to win souls for God and not condemn.
Godwin Okpe, the best you could do is delete and classify it as junk and
allow others to benefit, if it is not in anyway useful to you and you need to
educate me more on what i am expected to add or say that would meet the purpose
of this group otherwise i see no reasons for your claim so far.
John, thanks once more!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!
Cheers,
Tunde Okikiolu 86.

Tunde, i would be suprised and disappointed if the e-mail by daniel puts
you off or makes you stop giving out your good INTENTIONS. Please don't stop,
you can never please all, but certainly somebody is being educated or blessed
by what you do. You only need to explain your GOOD INTENT and continue with
your wonderful work. Let us look at this senerio, a job advert is placed in the
group, to some it may not apply and it serves no use (or putting it harshly
useless) but to others you will ever be regarded as having blessed someone. So
the important thing is the INTENT and your contributions to the GROUP. Thanks
and please keep it up. John 88 set.
