AN UPDATE ON PAPUWAKWE PAPAUWA HAS BEEN DISCHARGED FROM THE CARE CENTER IN A MUCH BETTER SHAPE. HOWEVER, I DO RECALL THAT AN APPEAL FOR SUPPORT FROM COMMANDOS WAS MADE BY ME AND SOMEHOW THE MATTER WAS SHELVED FOR PEOPLE TO MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS BY END OF SEPTEMBER TO BE GIVEN TO HIM. AM STILL WAITING SO ANOTHER VISIT CAN BE MADE. --- On Wed, 9/29/10, ononlunose arhuidese <[email protected]> wrote: From: ononlunose arhuidese <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [Jos Commandos] Fw: Calvary greetings (We Lost an Ex-Commandoe 89 Set ) To: [email protected] Date: Wednesday, September 29, 2010, 12:58 PM Thank you John, and everyone else who represented COJOSA at Elvis Odibo's house. Elvis's birthday was on September 18th , the following friends commented on his wall September 18 at 2:12pm Chizo Lawal; U would have been a year older next month but death took you away at your prime. we a consoled with the fact that you a resting in the bossom of the Lord.We love you but God loves you more.RIP September 18 at 6:04pm•l Chizo Lawal; U are remembered today and always. Happy post humous birthday. September 19 John Akadang; You will be remembered for long Elvis, Sleep well in the Lord.......... Elvis, as we understand first from Kadiri Ibrahim and later from Elvis's sister Queen, who apparently was schooled in Command died on August 21 On hearing the news, the EXCO made a call to Queen and got family details. Mrs Faustina Odibo (Elvis Wife) was reached. Thereafter on the 25th of September, the EXCO made a visit to the family house of our late commando, Elvis to pay our condolensce. In attendance were; the President, Barka Saleh, the Vice President, Taiwo Babayeju, the provost Bamidele Ajibola, the Sec Gen John Akadang and our very supportive Tunde Okikiolu. We met with the sorrowed wife of our dear friend with his three beautiful boys. The eldest being 7yrs and the youngest is 3yrs. We discussed a lot of issues. The EXCO made out a cheque to madam and promised to reach others to stand with the family at this trying moment. The EXCO left with prayers for the family. Even in death Elvis remembered COJOSA. His wife related to us that Elvis had it in mind to attend the meeting at O'Jezz in Surulere but could not because of his health state. That was very touchy, because while he had us in mind, we did not know he was going through life battles. We therefore enjoin you spirited Commandoes, to show your last respect for this beautiful friend we once had and would only remember in the Re-union we had at Bonny Camp. Reach out to his family by text and in kind as stated below GSM Nos; 07095318561 Bank Details Mrs Faustina Njoku UBA Bank 01630520175187 Queen Odibo, can be reached via 08023782495 Our brother Elvis, once more, sleep well in the Lord, in Jesus name.
