Dear all, taking a cue from Engr Mike, the first thing is to find out from the Army Education how funds are released for the school up keep, if it is not enough to cater for delapitated infrastructures, we can begin to fine tune ways out otherwise raising funds to fix the situation while some shameless corrupt elements somewhere are busy erecting mansions somewhere with money meant for the school will NOT be acceptable. Is there any school committee handling the disbursement of the funds from Army Education, we need to know? and how is it utilized? If other Command Schools are doing well why is Command Jos different? This should be our starting point.

If we channel our strength to this project we surely can set the school back on course. We also need to find out thru Army Education what happening to funds budgetted for running and maintaining the school. The various chapters should sensitize its members during their meetings and start. Together we stand. Engr. The survey noted that the students now have to buy water to sustain themselves, and there are no adequate water facilities. All allocation of funds and projects will be monitored and supervised by an ex-command student. 7) This above donation by each set should be achieved within a given time span, possibly by June 2012 and done on a yearly basis, and a facebook group will be created with various COJOSA representatives to set a target for each graduating set from 1982-1997 targeting to raise 1,000,000.00 each . 8) (MK), who currently reside in the UK suggested she will help to initiate this project of every set donating the above given amount whilst she is in Nigeria. 9). Awareness of COJOSA UK-IRL CIC New Website http://www.cojosaukirl.co.uk/ Feedbacks were overall impressive and encouraging. A job very well done by a daughter of an ex- command (KO). (MS-I) said she will have a one –to –one discussion with the Web admin on any improvements/ suggestion she may have. (All) have agreed to say a formal thank you and a letter to be written to the web –admin, who is a daughter of an ex-command jos, the chairperson - (KO) for all her hard work. Creation of a new website for the hosting of COJOSA Global. COJOSA UK-IRL CIC were given the task to design, create and build a website for command secondary school jos. There used to be a website for CSSJ called commandjos.org, but unfortunately this has been discontinued and the domain-commandjos.org is now very expensive to acquire. Currently there is no website for command jos. The purpose of this website is to have it designed for command secondary school jos. With command secondary being the main content of the website, with links/section for COJOSA Nigeria Chapter, COJOSA NA chapter and COJOSA UK-IRL CIC Chapter respectively. This is in process and a domain for the command jos/global website has been purchased and is call: CSSJOS.COM. Hence, www. cssjos.com has now been birthed to host command secondary school jos website.(DA) purchased this domain from his own personal expenses. Updates will be given on a regular basis on the progress of the www.cssjos.org website. All COJOSA Chapters will have to place up their contents. A general overview for the command secondary school content/ uploads will be needed and decided on by COJOSA Global. (KO) advised she also had a discussion with (IK) regarding forward IT enhancements/investments for the overall IT structure for command jos and COJOSA global. (IK) advised he will be able to pull strings with an IT giant that is currently controlling the IT Industry and will like to work alongside with COJOSA UK-IRL CIC with this company (IT giant). Further discussion and progression on this will take place soon. No estimated time frame but is on progress. AOB It was duly called to everyone attention in the meeting that COJOSA UK-IRL CIC would need a mediation/complaints team. The purpose of this is for any members, who have any personal grievances about COJOSA UK-IRL CIC activities or about another member, should be in the first instance, be reported to this body. It was suggested the advisory team and the mediation/complaint team could be combined into one team (NE) (MK) suggested that every member would have to sign a declaration which states that if they have anything to report the mediation/complaints team has to be contacted first, and also how each members should conduct themselves with regards to being a member of COJOSA UK-IRL CIC. Also it was mentioned when seeking legal advice from the Community Interest Company Association which COJOSA UK-IRL CIC is part of, concerning any issue that COJOSA UK-IRL may have, they advised this is how we can resolve in-house issues that may occur within the executive management board or any grievances that trust members may have regarding activities of COJOSA UK-IRL CIC by dealing with them in house. Hence at the meeting was suggested as mentioned before to set up a mediation/complaint team to handle all matter that may arise The function of this team will be: 1). To resolve all inhouse issues on behalf of members 2). To make sure no one feels left out, demoralised, or injusticed. 3). To create unity and a strong bond for all members 4). Anyone who feels discriminated can voice their complaints. 5). The main aim of this team is to ensure that every member works together in unity and be satisfied with all affairs of COJOSA UK-IRL CIC. 6). This will also make sure any grievance feelings are not displayed/communicated anyhow through various COJOSA communication groups and will help to enable all issue and matters to be kept in-house. Current In house Issue Currently COJOSA UK-IRL CIC has a very minor in-house issue at hand and as soon as the mediation/complaint team is established the issue at hand will be passed over to the mediation and complaint team for immediate resolution and fairness (All). (ALL) were surprised that some of those who are involved in the minor current in house issue had not attended the meeting to hear all side of each person's grievances/ concerns as they were expected to have attend the meeting. Transparency of account (DE) suggested that all members should be made aware of all funds they have donated have been accounted for. All types of donations can be provided via the COJOSA UK-IRL CIC website. Members Contributions so far (DE) paid up his member fee of £50.00 at the meeting. Kingsley Okogie of 87/88 set paid his founding trust member fee of £168.00. 87 set made a group donation of £225.00 on the day of the fun day in the park. (All) have to decide who will be on this team and this team should take effect as soon as possible. The team will be intended to judge all matters/issues in total fairness and there will be no preferential or biased judgments. (MS-I) advised she will provide a more coherent and specific job description of the mediation/complaint team (MK) has put herself up to be part of this team. 1). The very current minor in-house issue will passed over to be resolved by the mediation/ complaint team as soon as the team is established and will be dealt with in discretion until the minor issue has been resolved. 2). (DE) and (MK) both have voluntarily put themselves forward to contact and speak to the other member(s) who are involved with the very minor in- house issues and did not attend the meeting. And these issues will be dealt with in discretion until all matters are resolved. Treasurer- (MS-I) will action this. Also (MS-I) will provide up to date account at every general house meeting for the benefit of COJOSA UK-IRLs members. (MS-I) will send out a letter proposal to all members regarding donations. Next COJOSA UK-IRL General House Meeting 29th October 2011. Time and venue to be announced Signed By Ngozi Enem (Nze) Secretary Cojosa UK-IRL.
