      Papa Uwakwes Funeral Plans



NOTICE



The Family has fixed Monday 9th April for the funeral in his hometown Arochukwu 
in Abia State Nigeria.

A condolence visit has been planned for Sunday 18th March by the delegates 
based in Uyo which includes:    Snr Sogbeye , Edem, Ochu, Glory Stephen, Andrew 
Akhidenor and others who have in the past been in contact with the family .



•       Tributes are being collected through a facebook page and an E-mail 
address

•       For compilation and onward transmission to the family. 

•       The email address is [email protected] (please note it is in 
plural form)

•       The deadline for tributes to make the press for the tribute booklet 
will be midnight Tuesday 20th March to facilitate compilation, printing and 
shipping in time for the funeral.

•       To facilitate the Lagos chapter led by Saleh Barka-Benson who are

as is the usual practice.

•       For those in Diaspora Cojosa UK& Ireland and North America 
contributions  will be organised through the chapters 

•       For onward transmission to our partners in Nigeria

•        Then the family through a bank draft.

•       The deadline for contributions has been set for Monday the 2nd of April 
2012 



Please Note: There is NO Minimum set amount to the contributions as we were 
taught by Papa Uwa himself that "Little drops make a mighty ocean"



It has been suggested that each chapter should raise delegations where possible 
to attend the funeral.



It is important that we use the passing of Papa Uwa as a reflection on positive 
and collective actions to take regarding our other teachers who are still alive 
and may need our help and support
