To: "Cojosa Abuja" <[email protected]>, "command secondary" <[email protected]> Cc: "Command Jos" <[email protected]> Date: Wednesday, 8 August, 2012, 18:28 Dear Commandos, Sequel to our last branch meeting on August 4th 2012 at Kriscane Suites, Gwarinpa Abuja, we wish to inform you thus; 1. Welfare - The branch has begun a N50,000 loan to bonafide members who require financial assistance with 10% interest payable within 30days. This has been welcome by our members & its been implemented. 2. We are concluding plans to have a bank account opened with the aid our COJOSA trustees. 3. We have setup a 3 man committee to look into the process of organising a National/International Convention with the view of setting up a National Exco which will coordinate & unify all the known branches eg Abuja, Lagos, PH, UK/Irl, NA/Canada and most recently Jos. Of course they cmttee will be guided by the current COJOSA constitution n will advise us on the way forward. 4. The branch concluded that the absence of a Central coordinating organ such as d National Exco has led to unhealthy rivalry and sometimes mistrust amongs the branches (Commandos) which if not checked may crumble the Association which is fast growing. 5. The branch also noticed that it appears that the Lagos branch isnt as active as it was last yr & wish to call on its exco to check that trend. It also would like to hear more from the PH branch and appreciate that some activities have started in Uyo. 6. The branch generally notes that COJOSA is going places and on the right track and congratulates all Commandos on the success of this year's CSSJ speech & prize giving Day event which was electrifying. 7. The branch also encourages all Commandos to remember Jos n Plateau State as a whole in their prayers, for peace to reign as the conflicts on the Plateau has led to low student enrollment and exodus of good teachers. Thank you. For: Command Secondary School Jos Alumni Association (aka COJOSA), Abuja Branch Nigeria Anthony Akhidenor '88 set President
