Fellow Commandos, It is with much excitement yet a slight feeling of trepidation that I send forth this message of good will to all commandos. The event celebrating our Generals (The Night of the Red Necks) organized by a Committee of friends on 9th March 2013 gave birth to many wonderful ideas on how to take our great association to greater heights. On that said night the Chapter Presidents spoke of their dream and vision of a National Cojosa Alumni Body that will harmonize, integrate and collaborate with international to enhance a more organized body. An Interim National Executive Committee was established immediately to guide the association unto the proper formation of a National executive body as well as a National Secretariat. The Persons selected are as follows: Dr. George Emeka Igboanugo (82 set)Interim National Chairman · Brigadier General Immomotimi Birigeni (82 set) National Vice Chairman · Mr. Peter Chikak (83 set) Executive National Secretary · Dr. (Barr.) David Nansoh (84 set) Head Constitutional Reform prod./ LegalAdv · Justice (Mrs) Catherine Nwatu Nwobodo (83 set) Legal Adviser · Mr.Saleh Barka, Lagos / South West Chapters Coordinator · Mrs. Kudirat Balogun Ukpede Oyo / South West Coordinator · Dr. Sogbeye George Akwa Ibom / South South Coordinator · Mr. Tajudeen Yahaya Rivers / South East Coordinator · Barr. Kaase Fyanka Benue / North Central Coordinator · Dr. Simon Yiltok, Plateau / North East coordinator · Mr. Tony Akhidenor FCT / North West coordinator · Alh. Hakeem Oyewo Public Relations Coordinator The mandates proposed for this team to achieve include the following. 1. To harmonise and produce a worthy National constitution that is perculiar to our noble association. 2. The committee is also charged with the setting up of a National Secretariat. This task is already underway. To this effect as I write this memo the Nigerian Army Education Corp (NAEC) is in the process of not only providing us with worthy accommodation for this but also with the basic staff to man the secretariat. 3. The committee is also responsible for setting up an electoral body to manage and organize elections for our National Executives proposed for the first week of September 2013. 4. The Committee is also mandated to organize a Grand National Convention of the alumni. This is proposed to take place on or around the 29th September 2013, which coincides with the founders day celebrations. At this convention we intend to swear in our National Executives and launch the National Association. The venue again of the event will be Jos. 5. Perhaps the greatest task of this committee is also reconciliation of all disgruntled elements and factions of our noble association. If the foundation was shaky the building would have collapsed. We all know that God exalts the humble and resists the proud. We will hear and deliberate over all previous grievances of members of the association. Fellow Commandos we all possess different qualities that make us collectively very, very great. It does not depend on wealth nor appearances but on self belief, commitment, vision, perseverance and action. I charge all COMMANDJOS to believe in themselves and move this association to its predestined greatness. We wish to encourage all Commandos to get on board. To do this it is imperative and compulsory to register with your local chapter or if there is none in your place of abode register on line with the chapter you can interact with most. All ex- students of Command Secondary school, Jos are not necessarily members of COJOSA, unless they have identified with a Chapter. Please all facebook members that love to contribute be heard by registering and interacting through your nearest chapter executives.
Long Live COJOSA. We shall never never shall never ever be ashamed. Dr. George Igboanugo Interim National Chairman (Cojosa Alumni) Dr George Igboanugo
