I recently implemented partial support for JWS/JWA/JWK in order to write an identity provider for Mozilla Persona, and the usage of (n, e) in their preliminary spec (based on an older draft of the JOSE specs, IIUC) made it very easy to correlate those parameters to the documentation for my cryptographic library.
